ICAT is pleased to announce
Starting December 2009 all Idaho school districts have unlimited access to our Assistive Technology lending library. This dramatic step toward furthering access to AT devices for students was made possible by funding through the Idaho State Department of Education allocated to ICAT by the Idaho Assistive Technology Project.

The Tools for Life: Secondary Transition and Technology Fair will be returning to Boise March 1 & 2, 2010. Tools for Life is for anyone who has an interest in supporting individuals with disabilities as they transition from school to life. This includes secondary educators, post-secondary educators, special educators, therapists, counselors, service providers, job developers, other rehabilitation specialists, and especially high school students with disabilities and their families. Items in ICAT Loaning Library were demonstrated during an ATP Training “Meaningful Curriculum Participation for Students with Severe Disabilities”held in Boise in July.
The “From MEville to WEville Early Literacy Curriculum” from Ablenet was highly recommended by the nationally known speakers Kelly Fonner and Scott Marfilius as being very helpful for students on the autism spectrum. Other items recommended that are in the ICAT Library include the Bookmate reading device, the Flash augmentative communication device, and “Clicker 5″ and “Clicker Paint” software.
